Take the Bus
Take advantage of regional and local buses throughout the county. Buses provide you 7 days a week service to Santa Maria, San Miguel, San Simeon and throughout San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Paso Robles and Atascadero as well as the Five Cities. You’ll enjoy the flexible bus schedules to meet your needs. Park & Ride lots throughout the region are served by transit. Look here to find a Park & Ride lot near you.
Bus Passes
Did you know that using a Bus Pass on any of the County transit systems helps you save hundreds of dollars each year? For example if you travel on the Route 9 RTA bus from Paso Robles to San Luis Obispo five days a week the cost of paying the driver is $4.00 for each round trip which equals $80 per month but if you purchase a monthly pass it only costs $30 per month and you can use the pass 7 days a week if you want to go shopping or to the movies!

Passes for SLO Transit (city bus system) can be purchased at the City Hall, Osos & Palm, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Any employee who works in the San Luis Obispo Downtown District who destination or origination of his/her trip is the San Luis Obispo Downtown District, and who is not a Cal Poly student with a valid Cal Poly Student ID, is eligible to purchase and use the Gold Pass (see map below):
