Why Summer Break Pass?
The goal of the Summer Break Pass program is to build healthy commuting habits, with the intention that kids using Summer Break Pass will be more likely to take the bus as adult commuters. In addition, by providing kids the freedom of travel, parents are able to reduce vehicle trips, miles and emissions they would otherwise create driving their kids, thereby protecting the
environment and saving money. The funds gained from pass purchases are redirected into the program – providing travel training and encouraging youth to use transit.

Safety on Buses
As a parent, you have every right to be concerned about your child's safety. It might calm your nerves to know the rigerous testing drivers go through before they are put behind the wheel - in addition to their customer service trainings. All drivers hold at least a Commercial Drivers License, go through rigorous classroom and behind the wheel training, pre-tested and randomly tested for drug and alcohol use/abuse, back grounds are checked, drivers are road-tested by DMV, monitored by CHP, their driving record is checked pre-employment and continually thereafter.

The Summer Break Pass works on all busses in the county!
