Taking the Train
Sit back and relax. There are three stops in San Luis Obispo County to take you north to Vancouver, Canada or south to San Diego. Discounted fares available for Cal Poly students, call for more details at 756-6680. From the Cal Poly campus there is a direct Amtrak bus to take you to the station.

Amtrak provides you free transfer on any RTA or SLO Transit bus. RTA Route 10 heading to South County to Santa Maria picks up at the San Luis Obispo train station. For local San Luis Obispo Route 5 picks up at the SLO train station and makes stops downtown San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly, along Foothill Blvd., Los Osos Valley Road and Madonna Plaza. Show your ticket to the conductor for a transfer. When you arrive in San Luis Obispo there are two buses to make it easy to connect to your location.
