SLO Transit Updates Effective June 17 and July 1, 2019

Route Extension, Schedule Refinements, and Fare Update

SLO Transit Updates Effective June 17 and July 1, 2019

Effective Monday, June 17, SLO Transit is extending a route, refining schedules, and will begin summer service hours.

Route 1B will extend to serve the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. This route extension, combined with the existing Route 1A, adds bus service to the airport, increasing service frequency to twice an hour on weekdays. This provides an additional commute option for employees who work near Broad and Tank Farm and supports the growing number of travelers using the airport.

There are also schedule refinements for Routes 1A, 1B, 2A, 3A, 3B, 4A and 4B. To review the Route 1B extension, schedule refinements, and summer service hours, visit slotransit.org.

Effective Monday, July 1, the discounted 31-Day Senior/Disabled Pass will be $18, per the City’s adopted fare structure (2017). Riders 65-79 years old and those with proof of disability are eligible to receive a Senior/Disabled ID card and can apply on Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. at 919 Palm Street. Senior/Disabled ID cardholders can purchase discounted single-day and multiple-day fares on SLO Transit for 50-percent or more off. Discounted passes can be purchased at the City Finance Counter (990 Palm Street) and the SLO Chamber of Commerce (895 Monterey Street).
