Safe Routes to School pop-up event in collaboration with Hawthorne Elementary and Bike to School Day. This in-person event encourages walking/biking to school while also educating pedestrians and bikers on bike safety. Activities will include a bike maintenance station, injury prevention & education, bike decorating, a survey station (for families to give feedback on where they think the most dangerous areas are), and more! Staff from Bike SLO County, SLO Public Health, the CHP, and SLO City will also be available on site.
