Repair Work to Begin in Avila Beach to Refurbish the Interconnect Between Adjoining Water Systems. AVILA BEACH - The Public Works Department will begin repair work on May 29, 2024, at the Avila Beach Dr. and Ana Bay Rd. intersection to refurbish the interconnect between two adjacent water systems: San Miguelito Mutual Water Company and the Lopez Water Project Pipeline. Construction will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with periodic lane closures on Avila Beach Dr. and Ana Bay Rd. from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It is estimated that construction will last through June 21, 2024.
